Exhibition following the results of the photography competition “Art Space of Vladivostok. Events. People"
Exhibition 22 − June 30, 2021
On June 22 at 16.00 in the Avanzal of the Primorsky Art Gallery the exhibition will be opened following the results of the creative competition of young photography lovers “Art Space of Vladivostok. Events. People". This was the third joint project of the Primorsky State Art Gallery and the Primorsky Regional Branch of the Union of Photo Artists of Russia. The winners of the photo competition will be announced and awarded at the opening day.
The creative photography competition "Art Space of Vladivostok" was launched in February 2021. Its main tasks were: involvement in the active creative and educational process of young people who are fond of photography; search for new talents in the field of both classical and avant-garde photography; as well as the search for new creative spaces in the urban environment. To participate in the qualifying stage, works were accepted that were performed at one or several art sites in Vladivostok, such as: Primorsk State Art Gallery; gallery of contemporary art "Artetage"; gallery of contemporary art "Arka"; Center for Contemporary Art "Zarya" and others. Due to the main objectives of the competition, the age of the participants was limited: people from 14 to 30 years old could apply. In four months, thirty-four creative photographs from twelve authors (Vladivostok, Ussuriysk) were submitted to the competition. The jury selected thirteen best photographs for the exposition.
According to the voting results, the first place was unanimously appointed, and the winners who took the second and third places were also determined (the third place was shared by two participants). The winners will be awarded at the opening day. Another young photographer was selected to receive the Special Prize from the Primorsky Regional Branch of the Union of Photo Artists of Russia. The Audience Choice Award will be awarded to a participant who will be chosen by the guests themselves during the exhibition.
