Under the mask of Venice

Exhibition April 27 − August 29, 2021
State Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno" invites you to visit the exhibition "Under the Mask of Venice".

For the first time in Russia, the interiors of the Tsaritsyn Palace and Exhibition Complex present rare exhibits from the collections of the oldest Venetian museums. The best artifacts, including art objects from the Correr Museum, the Ca' Rezzonico Museum, the Glass Museum on Murano Island and Palazzo Mocenigo, the Museum of Textiles and Venetian Costume, as well as exhibits from the collections of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the State Historical Museum and other Russian collections were carefully prepared for the exhibition for several years.

The project is dedicated to the multifaceted Venetian culture of the 18th century, a time associated with the famous Venice Carnival, painting, theater and literature of the Enlightenment. For the first time in Russia, more than 100 works of art from the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (Venice City Museums Foundation) will be presented.
