A collection of experiences. Photographers and designers about travel

Exhibition July 7 − September 26, 2021
The State Tretyakov Gallery, the Moscow Design Museum and the Engineering Division of Rosatom State Corporation are holding an exhibition "A Collection of Impressions. Photographers and designers about travel".

The exhibition is dedicated to travel, which we miss so much during the pandemic. The exhibition is structured according to a travel scenario. So, in the first section is a set of things that each of us could take on a trip. "Itinerary" consists of the emotions and memories of travelers, visuals and sounds, includes stories about how trips are renewing and what inspires.

One section of the exhibition is very personal. It is a mini-museum that contains items brought back by the project participants from their trips and the stories associated with them. Creative people consider impressions the main thing, they see travel as an endless resource, a perpetual engine that gives energy for the birth of ideas, for learning about themselves and the world. The exhibits in this room are a concentration of memories, a concentrated life, as one of the designers said. The exhibit is accompanied by music by contemporary composer Viktor Osadchev. The compositions of the album Journey are inspired by travel: they contain echoes of distant countries and impressions that we bring back from trips as the most important souvenir. Music will be a guide through the exposition and will help not just to go from one room to another, but to be transported in fantasies to other continents.
