Lois Weinberger. Fundamentals

The Upper Belvedere Gallery, Vienna holds the exhibition "Lois Weinberger. The Basics."
The exhibition introduces the work of conceptual artist Lois Weinberger (1947-2020), a "green man" who worked in the fields of Minimal Art, Land Art, Viennese Group, Surrealism and Junge Wilde.
Between ironic shamanism and a conceptual but poetic line, his works demonstrate the limits of the will and make our superiority over our environment a conscious illusion. Weinberger's work questions our ethical standards, which seem marginal, useless and unhelpful. Before his death in April 2020, Lois Weinberger developed his show "Fundamentals" for the interior and exterior of the Belvedere Gallery. It is these works of recent years that will be on view in Vienna.
