Heavenly Nizhny

Exhibition August 12 − October 25, 2021
The Manege space in Nizhny Novgorod opened with a large exhibition "Heavenly Bottom.".

The exposition brings together about 340 exhibits from all over Russia: icons, fragments of frescoes, tiles, personal embroidery, arts and crafts, manuscripts and printed books.

The concept of the exhibition was developed by the Moscow Central Museum of Old Russian Culture and Art named after Andrei Rublev; thematically, the exhibition is dedicated to local saints, but due to the city's great role in Russian history and culture, its scope is much wider. In addition to the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum and the Rublev Museum, the Vladimir-Suzdal Historical and Architectural Reserve, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Historical Museum and many others provided their exhibits.
