Preliminary results

Exhibition August 19 − October 31, 2021
The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan opens an exhibition "Preliminary Results." of the famous Moscow painter and graphic artist Andrei Kimovich Yesionov at the Gallery of Modern Art of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan.

It is no coincidence that the exhibition is titled "Preliminary Results". Before us is a master of mature age, who has already made himself known in the domestic art. But he continues to seek and master new perspectives on his already outlined path, he develops and changes.

Andrei Esionov has a unique professional and technical skill that allows him to create works on the most important themes of humanity (both traditional and religious and philosophical and meditative). The exhibition features portraits of contemporary Russian culture and art figures, as well as political figures.
In the ability to organize complex spatial configurations and angles, in the "director's" skill of constructing a scene, the artist rivals the greatest masters of past eras. At the same time, he is a virtuoso in the art of classical watercolor; the sharpest and most everyday subjects, captured on the streets of Russian and Western European cities, impress with the accuracy of characteristics, vivid atmosphere, immediacy of presentation, and here he remains a deep observer of human types, relationships and collisions.
