The State Hermitage presents an exhibition project
"Flora. Literary Mysteries at the Museum".
The halls of the museum will present themselves to the audience in a new and unusual way. This new museum and theatre project is a series of performances in the halls of the Hermitage: scenes are played out in front of works from the museum's collection, on the theme of which musical or literary compositions have been created. Music, dance, and acting allow us to take a new look at the masterpieces of the old masters.
As viewers journey through the museum's exhibitions, they move from room to room - from stage to stage - where they encounter living masterpieces and are immersed in the atmosphere created by the works of Rembrandt, Francesco Melzi, Antonio Canova and other great masters.
The audience, being close to the performers in the museum halls, becomes not just observers, but to some extent co-participants in the action. By engaging the audience in their performances, the authors invite them to have a new artistic experience in a classical museum.
