Through the eyes of Augustine

Volgograd Museum of Fine Arts named after I.I. Mashkov presents an exhibition "Through the Eyes of Augustine."The event is timed to coincide with the Year of Germany in Russia.

The virtual exhibition introduces the works of German painting and decorative-applied art from the holdings of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.

The collection of German fine art has been forming in the Museum since the early 1960s. The State Hermitage Museum, the State Russian Museum, the Directorate of Art Funds and Monument Design, the Directorate of Art Exhibitions and Panoramas donated to the Volgograd Museum works of painting and graphics, while the Museum of Eastern Cultures, Pavlovsk Museum-Reserve, the Museum of Folk Art of the Research Institute of Art Industry shared museum ceramics specimens.
