Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum holds a personal exhibition of Vladimir Nikonov, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, People's Artist of Russia, member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences "The Seasons.".

The exposition presents landscapes of Nizhny Novgorod by Vladimir Glebovich Nikonov, reflecting the beauty and grandeur of the city with 800 years of history. Quiet sunset evenings, sun-drenched grass of forest glades, clouds solemnly floating on the sky or wide spread expanses of the earth with indispensable attributes of the Russian landscape - bell towers of churches at horizon - all these are subjects and motives of works of the author.

The small size of Nikonov's landscapes and his brushwork technique bring his works closer to the world of miniature painting, although the artist has developed a completely independent pictorial style and expressive language of his works. The elaborate construction, the precision of the relationship between the plans, the multiplicity of compositional solutions create a rich diversity of landscape images.
