Moscow Art Theatre Museum and Rosa Azora Gallery hold an exhibition "Family jewels.".
The House-Museum of K.S. Stanislavsky carefully preserves more than three centuries of the history of its residents, the most famous of whom was the legendary director - Konstantin Sergeyevich Stanislavsky (1863-1938, real name - Alekseev). Artists Igor Gurovich, Liza Olshanskaya, Misha Gurovich and Lisa Federmesser temporarily bring the atmosphere of their home into the ancient walls of the basement, representing the chambers of the late 17th century. Each of them works separately, creating their own world and building their own artistic careers. The authors, creating very different exhibits, have never participated in the same exhibition space together before. "Family Jewels" at the K.S. Stanislavsky House Museum is their first exhibition together.
The exhibition also features relics of the family of Konstantin Stanislavsky, who settled in Leontievsky Lane in 1921. Here in Onegin Hall he rehearsed with the actors of the Opera Studio, met guests, the director's family lived - his wife, actress of the Moscow Art Theatre Maria Lilina, his daughter Kira. Visitors have an opportunity to see archival photographs, and graphic works from the funds of the Museum of the MKhAT.
