Zorikto Dorzhiev. Patchwork man

Exhibition September 4 − December 4, 2021
Artplay Center for Design and Digital Art holds a solo exhibition of the artist Zorikto Dorzhieva "Patchwork Man".

The exhibition introduces the work of the author, who works in easel painting, graphics, sculpture, book illustration, animation, digital art and cinema. Zoriko Dorzhiev has exhibited his works in many countries of the world. His works are kept in museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.

Dorzhiev's solo exhibition is a translation of the artist's impressions of a new wondrous world, in which the boundary between fact and fiction, private and public, external and internal is blurred in plain sight. "The Patchwork Man" is a kind of a labyrinth in which enormous images of imaginary people's faces, resembling fantastic landscapes or coded portals to other dimensions, coexist with adventurous subjects from yet untold urban legends and unfilmed anime in the form of paintings, sculptures, digital objects and graffiti. From every rags and even from occasional fragments of remnants of daily life and imagination, from art and mass media, from dreams and memory, the artist receives a whole canvas, because his vision has a quality to heal the world. Any attentive viewer can discover the same property.
