V International Festival of Naive Art "New Day

In the diversity of contemporary art a bright self-sufficient phenomenon stands out - the work of amateur artists. Today, naive art has once again become relevant, it is experiencing a fresh wave of inspiration, is in search of new themes and events, reveals new names, and the viewer's sympathy for the original art is growing.
Every year the festival of naive art "New Day" presents in St. Petersburg an exhibition of works by adult amateur authors from Russia and other countries. The festival exhibition is interactive: visitors choose their most impressive works of painting and arts and crafts. According to the results of the "people's vote", the authors of the winning works will take part in the exhibition project "Kvartira" in 2022.
For the first time, in addition to the traditional final exhibition of the participants, the festival will feature an exhibition of works by recognized masters of domestic naive painting: Georgy Popov, Vitaly Babaikin, Katya Medvedeva, Lyubov Maikova, German Blinov, Alexander Suvorov and others. The public will have a unique chance to compare the painting of naive artists of the Soviet and modern periods in one exhibition space.
