In the paintings of the artist mixes the best traditions of new art and contemporary philosophical painting. These paintings want to solve puzzles and at the same time listen to them as if they were pieces of music.
Larissa Berlin is a talented painter. Her original style harmoniously combines symbolism, theatricality, metaphor and decorative expressiveness in equal parts like music. The artist's painting palette is rich in bright colors that splash out on the canvas with a rainbow of saturated consonances.
The life-affirming power of color is combined here with a subtle lyricism of perception of the world inhabited by fairy-tale and mythological characters: music-making angels, mermaids, fluttering pigeons, cunning red cats, kind orange lions, blue roe deer. Among these lovely inhabitants in the paintings is a man, whose image is also somewhat allegorical.
