All-Russian Museum of A. S. Pushkin, in the framework of the Week of children's books, presents the exhibition "The Nutcracker and the mouse king. Illustration artist Anton Lomaev".

The exhibition presents 20 illustrations of the artist to the most popular Christmas tale by Ernest Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann.

The story of a beautiful fairy tale was often in demand in theater, film, animation, it is often reprinted, and many artists have illustrated the story. Each artist saw the story differently. Vivid drawings of Anton Lomaev offer yet another new perspective on the story.
Work on the illustrations of artist led almost the entire 2016, and in 2017, book with illustrations and an afterword by the artist published by "Azbuka".

Anton y Lomaev born 1971 in Vitebsk, Belarus, he studied at the St. Petersburg State academic Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. Repin, worked in the Studio of book graphics under the guidance of A. A. Pakhomov.

Since the mid 90-ies cooperates with many publishing houses of Russia and other countries as a book designer. He illustrated works of Hans Christian Andersen, Hauff, Perrault, brothers Grimm, Diana Wynne Jones, Shakespeare, Kafka, Bunin, Nabokov, Bulgakov, Melville, Babel, Derzhavin, Semenova, Tolkien and others. In 2001 he became the winner of the "wanderer" in the category "Best artist". Member of the Union of artists of Russia.
