Daria Mikityuk. VONA

Exhibition March 22 − April 25, 2018
Kiev Nebo Art Gallery invites you to solo exhibition by young Ukrainian artist Daria Mikityuk "VONA". In the center of the exhibition — a collective image of women. The author explores the female nature through the daily rituals associated with marriage, motherhood, physiology. The exhibition presents paintings and works on paper, in the style of pop art, each of which is a small story component of a holistic vision of the unity of bodily, emotional, social and spiritual manifestations.

The heroine Daria Mikityuk can be delicate, fragile, serious, imperturbable outwardly, but the core of each of the image — the passionate emotionality. "The motivation for this project for me was the polarity of our life when gender identity is an internal decision of the will, as taste preferences, but the most important is personal perception of themselves and the world. In my work, I raise the question about what is happening in the modern world with the concepts "man" and "woman"," says the artist.
