Manet and modern painting

Exhibition March 8 − July 2, 2017

Major exhibition aims to show the extraordinary talent of Edouard Manet (1832 — 1883) French artist, inspirer and leader of the impressionist painting, never adjacent, however, to the camp of the Impressionists. The work of artists of his circle, constitute not only an elegant accompaniment to the works of the protagonist of the exhibition, but will also help to better understand the innovation of his style, to appreciate the unique combination of the traditions of classical painting and casual, contemporary approach.

In Milan will show 55 paintings by Manet and referred to the impressionist artists, as well as drawings and water color paintings. Partner of the exhibition — the Museum d'orsay (Paris)
