"JOAN". JUBILEE EXHIBITION OF ZHANNA MELKONYAN

From 9 to 15 June 2018 at the Russian Museum of decorative-applied and folk art will take place personal exhibition of Zhanna Melkonyan, honored artist of Russia (1999), member of the Union of cinematographers of Russia, member of Moscow Union of artists, professional art Director, costume Studio "Mosfilm".

The exhibition will feature costumes made by Zhanna Melkonyan, for the movie "Anna Pavlova" (directed by Emil Loteanu), "Moscow does not believe in tears" (Director: Vladimir Menshov), "Unexpectedly" (Director - Gennady Melkonyan), "Time to fly" (directed by Alexei Sakharov), "Life is beautiful" (directed by Grigory Chukhrai) and many other films.

Visitor will be able to learn how to create images of Lyudmila, Catherine, Antonina, Nicholas and the other characters of the film "Moscow does not believe in tears", which received the Oscar in 1981 for best foreign film. The costumes you can understand the process of creating the image, to penetrate in that era.

Emil Loteanu was not limited to simple retelling of the facts of the biography of Anna Pavlova, and created an entire poetic history of her life. The image of a famous ballerina in sketches Zhanna Melkonyan, for the singer of the title role of Anna Pavlova - Galina Belyaeva is exactly the intention of the Director. The film "Anna Pavlova" Emil Lotyanu received the award for best film collaboration and the award for significant contribution to cinema at the International film festival in Oxford in 1984.
