Boris Dehterev. Book illustration

In the Museum and exhibition complex School watercolor July 18, opens the exhibition "Boris Dehterev. Book illustration," which continues the cycle of exhibitions devoted to book illustrations.

Boris Alexandrovich illustrated as children's and adult books, but his best work is created just for kids. In his illustrations, he remained faithful to classical traditions. His illustration was mesmerized by the story. He clearly passed on traits of the character and easily caught the plot works. Boris, in his work, great attention was paid to small things and details always portrayed the situation.

The dehterev skillfully combined creative activity with teaching. Their knowledge Boris Alexandrovich shared with students of the graphic Department of the Moscow state art Institute. V. I. Surikov. In further training on this faculty called "School dehtereva". It was his students determined the development of book illustration in the decades ahead.

Boris Alexandrovich left behind a significant number of graphic works, made in different techniques: watercolour, gouache, pencil, tempera, charcoal.
Graphics and posters are in the collections of the State Museum of fine arts. Pushkin Museum complex. I. Y. Slovtsov, and in private Russian collections.
