The exhibition is a tribute of memory and respect to three generations of the Basevich-Lotarev family, thanks to which some Russian museums have been replenished with beautiful works of Russian art.

The reason for organizing the exhibition was the gift of the great-niece K. K. Basevich, professor of the Ural Academy of Architecture and Art Rena Lotareva (1932–2018), realized in 2017.
17 works of Russian artists were donated by her to the State Tretyakov Gallery. 38 paintings and drawings were transferred to the Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts. 4 sculptures and more than 200 objects of decorative and applied arts were also presented.

And it was the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts that Lotorov presented to KK Basevich all the works not mentioned in his will. Unfortunately, Rena Mikhailovna died this year, without waiting for the exhibition she had dreamed about and for which she had done so much.
