Nikolay
Borisovich Kukuliev

Born in Palekh. Laureate of the State prize of Russia (1996). A member of the Union of professional painters of Russia under UNESCO from 1994. Hereditary painter, son of B. N. and K. V. Kukuljevic. From 1981 to 1986, he studied at the Palekh art school. Teachers - V. V. Bolshakov, K. S. Semeikin. In 1986-1989 he worked at the Palekh art-production workshops. Since 1993 he has worked in the creative workshop "residents of Palekh".

Was engaged in book illustration ("the Life of Jesus Christ in the colors of Palekh" (1995)), icons. Themes of works: folklore, literature, religious. Participant of exhibitions since 1991. Work N.B.Kukuliev stored in the State Museum of Palekh art.
