Maria
Andreevna Chegodaeva

Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Member of the Russian Academy of Arts , member of the Presidium. Art historian and art critic.

Her father is a direct descendant of Genghis Khan and brother-in-law of M. O. Gershenzon, Prince Andrei Chegodaev (1905-1994), doctor of art, Professor, art critic, expert on Russian and Western fine art, old and new, art and rare professionalism.

Born in 1931 in Moscow.

In 1956 graduated from the Moscow state art Institute. V. I. Surikov, faculty of painting, theatre workshop under the direction of M. I. Kurilko.

Since 1959, a member of the Union of Soviet artists. Worked as a theatre designer and book designer.

Since the 1960-ies started working as a critic and art historian.
