INSULATION is a non-governmental platform for contemporary culture opened in 2010 in Donetsk (Ukraine) on the territory of the former factory for the production of insulating materials. 9 June 2014, armed representatives of the self-proclaimed "Donetsk national Republic" seized the territory.
INSULATION moved to the territory of the Kyiv shipbuilding plant and continues to implement cultural projects, support of socially active artists and change agents in Kiev, Ukraine and worldwide, as well as acts as a resource for international curators, researchers, artists and other cultural figures.
ISOLATION is the name inherited from the name of the plant in Donetsk. The Foundation's mission is to promote positive change in Ukraine through culture.
ISOLATION platform for cultural initiatives. This multidisciplinary cultural project open to all types of creative expression. This is a meeting place for everyone who seeks cultural and social change.
INSULATION operates in three interrelated areas: in the arts, education and projects related to the revitalization of the Ukrainian creative community.
