Alexey
Ivanovich Belsky

Russia • 1730−1796

Academician of historical and landscape painting (1730 - 96), student Vishnyakova and Girolamo bona. The Hermitage has its "Architectural pattern" (1789); the Academy of fine Arts is home to several paintings, written Bielsko, but it is unknown how, since, in addition to A. I. Belsky, were famous even Efim, journeyman painting of the Office buildings (1730 - 78), and Ivan Ivanovich, academician of history painting (1719 - 99), both also students bona. Alex and Ivan Bielski listed in the registry of the artists who sent in 1762 to Moscow "together" for decorating Triumphal gate, arranged on the occasion of the solemn entry of Catherine II . From the originals Ivan Belsky engraved portraits of Russian tsars Ivan Stanglin .

Alexei Ivanovich Belsky came from a fairly large family of painters. It is known that his two brothers (Ivan and Efim) and nephew (Michael) as himself Aleksey Belsky, left a memory for its picturesque (though not many) works. Probably much of the inclinations of the Bielski brothers helped their father's position — the master lacquer Affairs Armory. It was there that he made the first artistic steps brothers, getting the scenic education and basic skills.

Alexey Belsky starts to work independently somewhere in 1756, when he takes several allegorical paintings (for example, "Astronomy"). He takes part in internal work on completion of finishing of the building of the Academy of arts.

I wonder his involvement in the design of the Educational society of noble maidens (Smolny Institute) for which he in 1771 he performed four decorative panels, whose names, perhaps with different content it would be useful to place in our modern educational institutions subsidiarity: "do Not lie! No harm to any animal and not oslabla it! Don't be never idle! Do no evil and don't vex anyone!" (a panel is, fortunately, preserved in the collection of the State Russian Museum).

And further work, is largely characteristic of contemporary artists, A. I. Belsky. Training of young Russian talent, participated in the design of palaces and churches, the design is also becoming on your feet in the Russian Opera and ballets.
