Jacopo Bellini (Italian. Jacopo Bellini) - Italian artist. Estimated dates of life 1400-1470. Born and died in Venice.

Son of the tinker. The founder of an artistic dynasty consisting of his sons Giovanni Bellini and Gentile Bellini, as well as his son-in-law Andrea Mantegna.

Most of his life spent in Venice. Painted in Venice, many churches, buildings and religious sites. In 1441 in the city of Ferrara took part in the competition for the right to write a portrait of the Duke Lionello d'Este. Bellini won the competition in Pisanello.
