Debutants of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions

On December 11, 1871, the opening of the First Exhibition of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions took place at the Academy of Arts of St. Petersburg. Members of the association opposed themselves to the official line of academism and welcomed the social component of their work. Many of the most famous paintings by Russian artists were first shown at exhibitions TPHV. They are devoted to a special selection of Arthive.
