In 2000, Shemyakin opened the Museum of the Imagination exhibition space in Hudson, New York, which organizes exhibitions on research topics. In 2002, the Foundation of the Artist Mikhail Shemyakin was created in St. Petersburg, later renamed the Center (hereinafter - the Center) for the implementation of cultural, exhibition, scientific, and social programs. The Center regularly hosts exhibitions, vernissages, contests for works of Russian and foreign artists. The energetic and rich activity of the Center in many ways contributes to the withdrawal of Russian fine arts to the main directions of world development. As a branch of the Institute of Philosophy and Psychology of Creativity, the Center conducts laboratory research, scientific and practical conferences and training seminars.
