Regional State Budgetary Institution “Krasnoyarsk Art Museum named after V.I. Surikova ”was founded in 1957 on the basis of part of the collections donated by the Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum of Local Lore.
Currently, the museum has unique collections of fine art.
The collection of the museum consists of 4 sections (Russian art of the 18th-19th centuries, art of the 20th-21st centuries, West European art of the 18th-20th centuries, decorative and applied art).
The collection of the museum has more than 16 thousand storage units - paintings, graphics, sculpture and objects of decorative art.
