Boreas was founded in 1991 as a fundamentally new structure in the field of art and culture. Today, Borey is the oldest autonomous non-profit exhibition site in St. Petersburg.
Borey today is five showrooms with a total area of about 200 square meters. m, design studio, publishing house, photo studio, department of rare books and graphics, mechanical workshop of the inventor Eugene Pinigin, art salon, film club and cafe.
It regularly hosts literary evenings, philosophical readings, presentations of books and magazines, film screenings, as well as creative meetings, lectures and master classes on culture and art.
