The work was done entirely from nature. It was a quiet March evening, there were a few hours before sunset, there was a feeling of lost time, as I had planned to start earlier, but fell under the ice, and while I went home to change clothes and come to myself the time was gone. My attention was attracted by the conditional triangle formed by the birches, their relation to each other, along with the feeling that I am not alone....This is what I wanted to convey in this sketch. It's probably a little strange, but it felt like the trees were watching me, and I was like I was invading someone else's territory. It probably sounds like nonsense, but maybe that's the difference between the artist and other people, the difference in the perception of reality.
