Description of the artwork «Mariinsky Palace»

Architectural landscape of Kiev "Mariinsky Palace. Mariinsky Palace. The palace in the Tsar's Garden was laid out by order of Empress Elizabeth in 1744. The baroque project was designed by her court architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli. Under the direction of Ivan Michurin of Kostroma and a group of other architects the palace was erected by 1752.
