Description of the artwork «The arrival of spring and summer»

Bright colors, really summer and spring, the sunlight and the overall color scheme used in the picture "Spring and summer"perhaps even the proponents of realism argue that spring and summer on the way.

Expressive colors allow you to feel a nod in the direction of Fauvism. Spring and summer is depicted in the traditional cubist style – triangles. Note that in this case no doubt sexual, so to speak, the origin of the subject. Painted in green tones of spring are depicted in a triangle with the base at the bottom – like silhouette in a dress (Yes, the same one that is depicted in the ladies ' room). Summer, on the contrary, the inverted triangle of bright red color, the higher and, it seems, "precista" than "spring triangle".

Looking at the sky in this picture, appreciating the ease and boldness of the brush, we can already guess why after a few years emigrated to America, he would call himself the "American van Gogh". Burliuk generally treated with special respect to the great impressionist, the echoes of the paintings which are often found in the works of the "father of Russian futurism". Compare: still life Burliuk and still life by van Gogh. Even branded swirling brushstroke of van Gogh, he imitates: chrysanthemums asters he writes against the sky, looking at which, it is impossible not to remember "Starry night".

"Spring and summer" is one of the undisputed successes of Burliuk. Because of the eclecticism of the artist and his desire to grasp him in reproach often put secondary. But in this case, despite any Association with other authors and directions, the picture is, no doubt, lives on the original, built inside its space laws.
