Description of the artwork «THE CATHEDRAL OF THE ASSUMPTION»
The assumption Cathedral is one of the most famous and recognizable "business card" of Kharkiv.
The creation of this product was timed to coincide with the exhibition dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the city. Directly to the fair work could not be finished, but all the visitors were able to co-sponsor this facility. To do this they needed to separate at least three match head and make his name in the list of sponsors.
Thus in creating the work was attended by several hundred people from one year old babies to 80-year-old veterans; the Russians and Ukrainians, Jews and Arabs, Armenians and Azerbaijanis, citizens of Belarus and Uzbekistan...
Each author was offered in a special album to indicate the surname, name and age. Signatures (below) are given in the order in which they're recorded. The age of the authors listed at the time of the exhibition: 22-24.08.2004
Many of the visitors to cut the match, but chose to remain anonymous.
The work was completed in 2011-2013 to a series of alleged exhibitions of Children's Joint-stock Companies in the United States and Russia.
