Description of the artwork «Vanity»

In Vanity, we see a still life depicting the process of preparing hot tea from a samovar. On the table is the best of everything, maybe even something not quite appropriate to the occasion (an artichoke, for example). The artist painted this painting as a sign of the value of family bonds and domesticity. After all, no matter where one is, a tea party always brings loved ones together.
