Born in 1952 in the town of Volchansk in Sverdlovsk region.
In 1972 he graduated from Sverdlovsk art College named. I. D. Shadr, Department of industrial graphics.
From 1975 takes part in city, regional, Republican and all-Union exhibitions.
Since 1985 – member of Union of artists of Russia.
From 1985 began to participate in international poster exhibitions, including "poster Biennale". As a poster artist is the laureate of international exhibitions and participated in exhibitions in Cuba, Poland, Italy, Germany, Japan, etc.
Yuri Budanov works in easel and applied graphics, paints landscapes - especially favoured the Ural nature. His landscapes are impressionistic in nature. The artist seeks to convey the changing state of nature (which began suddenly the rain, a gust of fresh air). Pastels have a velvety matte surface, color spots flow into each other.
The participant of Russian and international exhibitions. Works are kept in museums of different countries and in private collections.
