He was born March 25, 1907 in the village Kytaihorodka near Ekaterinoslav in the Ukraine.

In 1934 Gavriil Kid graduated from Odessa art Institute. Studied with A. Hausa and Fraerman.

Participant of exhibitions since 1954.

Member of the Leningrad Union of artists since 1955.

He painted landscapes, still-lifes, mostly in watercolors.

Personal exhibitions in Leningrad (1975, 1976, 1977, 1985, 1988), Stockholm (1991), St. Petersburg (1996, 1997).

Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

In 1934 he graduated from the Odessa art Institute, studied with T. B. Fraerman and A. F. Gauche. From 1935 he lived in Leningrad, worked as a chief artist of the Leningrad State Museum, the reconstruction of agriculture. During the war he worked as a district painter and decorator. Since 1946, a member of the Leningrad Union of artists, in the period 1952-1957 was expelled for "formalism". 50 years K. G. Kid takes active part in numerous exhibitions. Personal exhibitions of the Baby took place in 1975, 1976, 1977, 1985, 1986, 1996, 1997 g. in Leningrad –Saint Petersburg, in 1979 and 1982 in the pines, in 1983, in Kislovodsk. His works are in state Russian Museum, the Museum of history of St. Petersburg, the Museum of art of the XX century (Pennsylvania, USA), the Museum “Dragon” (Taiwan), the Museum of watercolor (Mexico city), the art museums of Kyiv, Nalchik and Khabarovsk, in private collections in Australia, USA, Sweden, Mexico, France, Japan.
