Ivanovich Chernov

He was born in Starobilsk in Luhansk region. In 1942 he graduated from HHI, where he studied with N. Samokish, A. Coquelles, M. Kosaka. From 1947 he taught at HHI, Professor since 1977. Trained a whole galaxy of Ukrainian artists, among them: A. of Constantinople, Krajewski, V. Kuznetsov, A. Safargalin, A. Khmelnitsky. For many years he headed the section of painting of the Kharkov branch of CFS. Honored artist of Ukraine since 1966. Worked in the genre of landscape, still life, genre painting.
