As for the activities of Nikolai Mikhailovich Plyusnina (1848-1922), it was mainly teaching, although he also participated in city exhibitions. He was not a native Urals and after completion of training at the Academy of fine arts (1866-1873) was the head of the workshop of applied arts Novotikhvinsky convent in Yekaterinburg, teaching drawing. In the workshop were engaged in icon painting, secular painting, enamel, gold embroidery art, wood carving, porcelain painting and artistic embroidery. N. Plyusnin had a permanent teacher in the First girls ' school, did not abandon private lessons. Among his pupils can be called well-known Ural artist Tourjansky. Besides all this, he engaged in the work, exhibited at the expositions WALII.
