In 1953 he graduated from the Repin Institute of arts in the name of I. E. Repin, the workshop of Professor Rudolf Frentz.

He studied of Mikhail Platonov, Ivan Stepashkin, Piotr Belousov, Yuri Neprintsev.

Participant of exhibitions since 1951.

Member of the Leningrad Union of artists since 1953.

Wrote battle and genre scenes, landscapes, portraits, still lifes.
