Born on May 15, 1925 (now Mikhailovsky district, Ryazan region). From a large family. Graduated from a technical school, then the Moscow Electrotechnical Institute of Communications. During the Great Patriotic War he graduated from the school of radio operators and was sent to Kronstadt to the base minesweeper. He met the victory in Kronstadt. He served for 5 more years after the war, as the whole Baltic was mined and in 1950 he was demobilized. He had a love for painting since childhood. He did not study painting anywhere, he did it all by himself. He was lucky to have met on his life path artist M.M. Kurierov, who became his teacher and mentor, and V.V. Krasilnikov. Krasilnikov. He was a member of the art association "Vykhino". Created more than 3000 works. Participant of city and regional exhibitions. Participated in more than 30 exhibitions (20 of them personal) in the Maly Manege, the Central House of Artist, the State Exhibition Hall "Solntsevo", cinemas, exhibition halls, conference halls, palaces of culture. The main theme of Nikolai Borisov's work was the nature of the Moscow region. The favorite genre of the artist - landscape (mists, sunsets, overgrown ponds and village romance). Honored Culture Worker of Russia. A lot of works were devoted to the marine theme. To the 300th anniversary of the Russian Navy he presented 12 paintings to the Moscow Maritime Museum. Nikolai Andreyevich died on December 4, 2001. The artist is buried at the Vvedensky cemetery. The paintings are represented in the Maritime Museum, the Black Sea Fleet Museum, the Esenin Museum, the Pushkin Literary Museum, the Kolomenskaya and Tsaritsyn galleries and the Moscow Patriarchate, as well as in private collections in Russia, Poland, Hungary, England and the USA.
