Son of Gof-Furier. In 1761, entered the Academy of fine Arts. Received medals: in 1763 silver; in 1766 - a gold for the painting "the Offering hats and princely power of the Grand Duke Rurik". In 1767, received a certificate for the title of the artist and was sent by the pensioner in Paris. (Kondakov)
