Krylov N. And. 16.10. 1920 - 08.07.1998. Born in the village Tinyakova, Milevskogo R-on, Moscow region in a family of rural teachers. In 1935 he enrolled at the Stroganov school. In 1936 he went in the summer to Central Asia in the town of Dzhambul, where he wrote several successful paintings are now in private collections. The school is not finished, because in 1939 he was drafted into the Red Army in the Baltic fleet. The participant of the great Patriotic war, was demobilized in 1946. He was awarded orders and medals. After the war he went to work in Selkhozgiz, but soon became interested in book design and graphics font and started working on contracts in various publishing houses, becoming a well-known type designer. Was married, had a son.
