Vasily
Andreevich Likin

Russia • 1861−1935

Born in the Ryazan province. He studied at the Moscow school of painting, sculpture and architecture. He graduated from the Academy of fine arts (1881-1886) and teacher training courses in OH. He worked in genre, portrait and landscape. He was Chairman of Nizhny Novgorod branch AChRs (1926-1927).

Co-founder and participant of exhibitions of Nizhny Novgorod society of lovers of the arts since 1901. He taught at the Arakcheyev Cadet corps, since 1902 in the Sunday drawing classes, together with L. M. Diamond has been teaching a private Studio (up to 1917), taught courses drawing AChRs, in NHT (1922-1923, 1926-1927).
