Author of landscapes and genre scenes. Was born in Kharkov to a wealthy merchant family. In 1920, together with his parents emigrated to Constantinople, and eventually moved to Tunisia. In 1928 – 1932 he studied at the Centre for teaching arts of Tunisia. In 1932 he participated in the Tunisian interior, from 1937 – member of the salon, since 1958 – member of jury, participant of the exhibitions of French Africa in Paris. In 1973 personal exhibition took place in the Tunisian interior, in the same year received a prize II Pavone d'oro in Rome. Many traveled to Italy, Switzerland and France. He taught painting in his own Studio in Tunisia. In 1982 he moved to France, settled near Paris, continued to paint and participate in numerous art exhibitions.
