After graduating from the Academy of arts in St. Petersburg received the title of class artist of the first degree "for the project of the Orthodox Church" (1871) and moved to Novocherkassk. This city is connected almost all of his subsequent architectural activities, awarded the title of academician of architecture. Among the projects the Kazan Cathedral in Orenburg (1885). The Cathedral was built in 1886-1895, but in Soviet times was subjected to barbaric destruction. Preserved its architectural "brother" – the Cathedral in Novocherkassk, also the brainchild of A. A. Yaschenko.

Volnoslushayuschego student of the Academy of fine arts from 1860 To 1862 he graduated from the course Sciences. Received medals: 1865 – 2 silver; in 1866, 1 silver for "the draft house for a girls 'school for 600 girls coming". In the same year – the title of class artist of 3 degrees. In 1867, the title of class artist of 2 degrees for "draft trade share space on the banks of navigable rivers". In 1871 – the title of class artist of 1 degree for the "project of the Orthodox Church on 3 separate chapels for the cemetery." In 1879, the title of academician for the "project of the railway station".
