Born in the city of Alapaevsk, Ekaterinburg province. He studied at the Azerbaijan art College, NHT (1927-1928) and at VKhUTEMAS (1929).
Personal exhibitions: Moscow, 1935, 1937; N. Novgorod, 1937. Arrested in 1937, rehabilitated in 1959.
