Of chief officers ' families. He graduated from Uch-school GL. control MEAs in Saint-Petersburg (1856), a collegiate Secretary. Assistant to the architect of the building-road Commission of Nizhny Novgorod province., seconded to survey of works on laying well. From 1872 he taught the history of architecture in the Construction Uch-school and the Engineering Academy of St. Petersburg. In 1873 he received the title of engineer-architect. During the Russo-Turkish war of 1877-78 supervised the construction of various buildings for the Islands of the red cross. From 1880 he lived in Sib., participated in the construction of the building of Tomsk University. In 1888 the head. 2-m otd-tion of the exchequer cheats, member. com. for the construction of post and Telegraph building (1890-93). Participated in the development and construction of the wine monopoly excise, the arc de Triomphe. In "Architectural encyclopedia of the XIX century" (St. Petersburg, 1902-08) G. V. Baranovsky published project A. building of post and Telegraph office, built in Chita in 1893. In 1890 engaged in the construction of several buildings for the Moscow-Kursk railway. D. Published scientific papers in the journal "Zodchiy" mainly on issues of structural mechanics. Further life is unknown. Honorary magistrate. Awarded the order of St. Stanislaus 3rd St. for participation in the construction of the well. D. from Moscow to Kursk. Set of buildings: the House of artists in Sevastopol (1876), the Church of St. Vladimir in Kherson (1877).
