He was born Peter S. on October 10, 1932 in the village Vakhlova Surgut district. He studied at the school of the neighbouring village Pogorelsky. Started work as a teenager on fishing, hunting, logging. After graduating in 1955 his military service he was a foreman fishery, the managing office of the farm in D. Wool.

In 1961 he moved with his family in S. Guth, who was considered the national center of the Yugansk Khanty, worked as a technician, Forester, game warden, and even a teacher.

In 1965 Peter S. began purposefully to explore the culture of the Khanty of the Yugansk. Spending time in remote yurts with interest he collected legends, stories and artefacts. The result of years of careful collecting and study of history was the discovery in 1979 Urutskogo Museum, which formed collected by Peter Semenovich collections of archaeological finds, household items (clothes, household items, national musical instruments). Having decided to enrich the exposition genre paintings of the life of the Khanty, he boldly took up the brush and became a painter. His paintings, executed in a simplified manner of writing, direct, breathing warm and touch the soul.

The first artistic experiences of Peter Semenovich was a copy of the famous painting "Bogatyrs" (1973), but in 1979, from under his hand left a masterpiece. The picture "Child of nature" depicts a man-Khanty, floating on a boat-dyblenko. So in this figure of light, the wise, the evil, tranquility and spirituality! All subsequent work is also clear and high mood. Now we can say that he wrote not only the soul of the people, the culture, which is deeply valued and understood, but also your own inner portrait. In 1980 he held a personal exhibition in Surgut. Petr Semenovich was very reluctant to have his work left uğur. Tyumen Museum was able in time to persuade him to do a few author's copies ("Happy", "Trofim Fomich", "Latest").

PS Baklykov participated in exhibitions in Surgut, Khanty-Mansiysk, Tyumen, Moscow, his paintings were awarded prizes, diplomas. But the creative force was far from exhausted. In the 80s they were written in historical and ethnographic book about the Yugansk Khanty and the novel "Bear pad". Both works saw the light in 1996 in the Tyumen publishing house "Softdesign".

It can be argued that uğur cultural center, took place largely due to the fact that it lived and worked PS Baklykov. He tied uğur with the world. Spoke with him scientists from the Tomsk, Tyumen, Saint-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and other cities of the country, were frequent guests from abroad.
