Algerta of Jaunarajs name was a legend of 20th century abstract art in Latvian painting.
Born in Liepaja family krestjanki and working.
1927. – 28. – studied at Latviska University, Architectural Department;
1929. – 36. – Latviskoy graduated from the Academy of fine Arts, Studio of the Landscape under the guidance of V. Purvis, with thesis "Rural landscape";
1931. – 39. – worked in the Institute for Psychotechnics and ramenlover the verifier artistic abilities;
1940. – was Secretary in the Union of the Artistic staff, the head of the cooperative visualnode of the Union. Together with B. Danishiram and A. Lapina actively participated in the artistic processes of life;
1944. – 50. – worked as an assistant in the Department of drawing in Academie of Arts, otvoren prakasam G. Kruglov for formalism;
1944. – member of the Art Union, off for formalism, then restored;
1951. – 59. – worked in the magazine "Zvaigzne"artist.
Part in exhibitions since 1934. year.

After graduating the Academy of Arts was painting loose landscapes in the tradition of V. Purvis. 1960. – 70. turned to abstract painting. Studied Western abstract artists – P. Suleja, John. Polacca etc.
This time drawing and working with watercolour, and participated in many exhibitions. 1970. – 80. – back to real painting.
