Born January 1, 1954 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. In 1976 he graduated from the Leningrad art College. V. A. Serov in the specialty painter-decorator.

In 1981 he graduated from LGITMiK specialty art Director, came to work in the Murmansk regional drama theatre as art Director and then chief designer.

From 1987 to 1988 – head. the stage part of the Committee for television and radio broadcasting of Murmansk.

From 1988 to 1990 – head. but the artistic Director of Educational theater LGITMiK. Between 1990 and 1996 – the main artist of the theater under the direction of Larissa Daub.

Since 1996 – artistic Director of the Theater.Of the Leningrad city Council. He created artwork for such works as "the fool", "Banana", "Brer Rabbit in the Wild West", "Lady-Ghost", "the door to the adjoining room", "sweetie", "Cabaret", "Karenin. Anna. Vronsky", "Lover", "On the busiest place", "the miracle worker", "Jokes Pushkinoj", "Vladimir square", "Snegiri", "Funny money", "Divorce on-female".

For the scenography of the play "Vladimir square" was nominated for the highest theatrical prize of St. Petersburg "Golden soffit".

Collaborated with many theatres in Russia and abroad. Recent projects: "the lion in winter" by D. Goldman at the University theater rice lake (USA, Wisconsin) and "Vladimirskaya square" in the Perm drama theatre.
