Born in a family of teachers. Graduated from the Studio of Landscape painting of Professor Wilhelm Purvitis in the Latvian Academy of arts (1932).
In 1944, emigrated to the West.
Member of society of Latvian artists(1933 – 38), participated in the exhibitions of this society.
Participant 1., 2., and 3. exhibitions of cultural Foundation of Latvia.
Peculiar representative of the school of Purvitis, wrote of the sea, sunsets, pine trees.
